On Christmas Eve, my mom and stepdad, Steve, came out to our house. It was so fun and special for us to have them with us that night and most of the next day. We haven't spent Christmas day together since Summer was a baby.

Summer's present to us...she worked so hard on painting this little car. She even wrapped it up herself in a white piece of paper :) 
Jace opening his scooter just like Summer's. You can see Steve in the background already hard at work trying to get those toys out of the packages and filled with batteries. It was great to have Bub around this Christmas :)

Ella has really enjoyed the rocket rider on the swingset.
And one I forgot to add from last time. Ella was terrified of my dad last time we saw them in November and she acted just the same this time. She started screaming as soon as she saw him...I don't know what it is about him but she always takes a little while to get used to him. It didn't take her long this time and as we were leaving the restaurant she even let him hold her for a picture.
The day after Christmas we just hung out, hit a few after holiday sales, and were basically really lazy. We had to get all rested up for the big trip to Midland :)

Your tree looks very beautiful. I wish my kids would let me decorate the tree the way I really want to. Jake insists on all of his made decorations and the old ones. I guess my time will come when they all leave the house! HAHA Looks like you guys had some fun over the holidays!
