My thoughts on the Election...

I didn't vote. I chose not to, mostly because I didn't like either candidate, because I live in Texas where the Republican vote usually prevails, and because I'm not extremely knowledgeable in that kind of stuff. What I do know comes mostly from Tyler who explains it to me in a language I can understand...but it still just doesn't interest me. So, I didn't feel prepared to make an educated choice and I didn't want to pick someone just because they are in my party's line.

I am pretty much apathetic about the new president. I am a little worried, but a little excited. It is a big step for our country, hopefully it is not a step in the wrong direction. But honestly, I just don't get the Obama mania. I don't get the tears, the chills, the over the top endorsements. I like the idea that people are riled up about politics and getting involved in our country's future, but really it seems like the are more enthused about HIM than the actual issues. I don't know, maybe that's just me...I'm hoping that he (and the people who voted for him) proves me wrong!
